Comments: Nothing can ever stop a real rocker from rocking. At last year’s Rocklahoma festival, I was covered with mud after walking between the different stages. I even slipped and fell right on my back, ensuring that I was a complete, muddy mess from head to toe. Did I go back to the showers and wash off? Hell no! Did I go right back to the bleachers and keep the party going, without missing a beat? You better believe it! Like I said, nothing can ever stop a real rocker from rocking – especially not a little mud! - and I certainly did not want to miss a second of the show. When the storm blew through on Saturday night, forcefully enough to knock the side stages right to the ground, some people went back to their tents or RVs to grab ponchos or umbrellas. Some people left and did not come back even though the show continued to go on late into the night, despite the rain. Not me. I stayed and took full advantage of the storm by stripping down to my bikini and dancing in the bleachers. Sure, it was pretty cold that night as the wind tore through and the rain continued pounding down, and the fact that I was a soaking mess did not help the situation at all, but Rocklahoma is a rain or shine event and no amount of rain can stop the party from going on. By the end of the festival I was exhausted, burnt to a crisp, and my eardrums were ringing for days, but it was absolutely worth it. Now I just cannot wait to get back to Rocklahoma for more and to do it all over again in 2009! I am confident that I have the fun-loving, energetic, and passionate nature that everyone is looking for in the first Miss Rocklahoma. I am fanatical about 80’s metal, am not afraid of getting a little dirty and having a little fun, and I do not let anything stop me or get in the way of a great time. It is my hope that as Miss Rocklahoma I will be able to inspire others to keep the party going, rain or shine. I might be a lawyer by day, but I am certainly a full-time 80’s rocker!
